What are we doing in Costa Rica & Panama?!

I am so excited to explore Costa Rica & Panama with a group of students who are just as excited as I am! We will be gone for 9 days in July of 2023 for this trip. This means a few things...

  1. Students won't have to miss school! (They'll actually have the opportunity to earn some high school or college credit if they choose to do so)

  2. Since July 2023 is more than a year away, travelers have time to fundraise! I will support as many fundraisers as I can for students traveling on all of my trips - and my main focus this summer will be making connections in our community and getting some fundraisers set up.

  3. Since the trip is going to be toward the end of next July... travelers have TWO summers and an entire school year to put money toward the cost of the trip.

  4. If your family celebrates Christmas and birthdays, this is a great opportunity to share your Donation Page link with your family and friends to donate funds directly to your travel account in lieu of a materialistic gift! What could possibly be better than the gift of travel?!

Highlights

On this trip, we will not only be immersed into the culture of Costa Rica & Panama, but we will also get to explore all the area has to offer. We will have many opportunities to just have FUN while working as a team and adventuring from sun up to sun down. This is what so many of us need after everything we have been through the past few years, especially our students. ♡

Rincón de la Vieja National Park

NATIONAL PARKS

We are going to get to visit every beautiful place we can imagine existing in Costa Rica & Panama. We will hike to find amazing hot springs and water falls, while crossing wooden bridges and carefully designed stair paths along the way.

SNORKELING

On our second day we will get to dive into the waters off the coast of Costa Rica to explore the ocean life. We will see many species of fish and plants that thrive beneath the water.

Arenal Zip Line

ZIP-LINING

On day 3 we are going to get to fly through the forests of Costa Rica from the perspective of a bird. For those who are scared of heights, don't worry! They will have an option for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery from below. Daredevils like me... we will be flying above and through the trees within the Arenal Region in Costa Rica.

Kayak Trip on Lake Arenal

KAYAKING, WATERFALLS, HOT SPRINGS

Our 4th day of adventure is going to blow our minds. We start off the day kayaking Lake Arenal. We then take off to hike to La Fortuna waterfall (pictured above), where we then take off to visit some Arenal hot springs! I'm assuming we will definitely need to bring some swimwear, and some shoes we can get wet and keep hiking through. (I have some ideas!)

Arenal Hot Springs

WHITEWATER RAFTING

If I was forced to pick a single activity that I am most excited for, it would have to be whitewater rafting. I am definitely an adrenaline junkie (as long as I know I'm safe and others with me are safe!) I have never been whitewater rafting and I am so excited to give it a shot! I mean, I was up at Wishon Lake one time kayaking through the middle of a storm... maybe that counts as whitewater rafting?? Regardless; we will have helmets and EXPERT whitewater rafting guides with us the entire time. I. Am. So. Stoked.

Whitewater Rafting in Sarapiquí

After all of these incredible adventures we will explore San Jose, Panama City, and Gatun Lake. You can see our specific plans for these cities on our itinerary.

Spread the word!

I am so excited to make travel a reality for more students. This trip is not affiliated with any one school, so students from any school can enroll! If you know of any families who may be interested, please forward them this information or direct them to my facebook, instagram, or blog! Let me know if you have any questions.
